How does OMRI support the organic industry?
Organic farmers can easily identify compliant products using the free OMRI Lists and by looking for the OMRI seal.
Organic certifiers streamline the approval process by asking their clients to use OMRI Listed® products.
The OMRI Canada Products List© is OMRI’s list of verified products for organic production or processing under the Canada Organic Regime standards.
The OMRI Products List© is the most complete directory of products for organic production or processing under the U.S. National Organic Program standards, and includes over 4,000 "OMRI Listed®" products.
Founded in 1997, the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing organic certifiers, growers, manufacturers, and suppliers an independent review of products intended for use in certified organic production, handling, and processing.

OMRI ofrece una revisión independiente para productos de marca a ser usados como insumos en agricultura y procesamiento orgánico. Los estándares de OMRI están basados en el Programa Orgánico Nacional (NOP, por sus siglas en inglés) y en la regulación del Régimen Orgánico Canadiense (COR, por sus siglas en ingles).
Advisory Council (AC) members are selected by the Board of Directors to provide a broad range of expertise and perspectives from throughout the organic community. AC members include farmers, researchers, professional consultants, industry representatives, and others from within the organic community.
The Application Kit includes the OMRI Policy Manual and OMRI Generic Materials List with the OMRI Standards Manual, and all application materials needed to complete an OMRI application. By default you will be given access to the electronic versions of these materials unless you specify that you want a paper copy.
The OMRI Board of Directors broadly represents the constituencies of the organic industry with members selected from the community of certifiers, inspectors, farmers, suppliers, processors and handlers, and organizations serving consumer and environmental interests. The Board is the highest governing body at OMRI.
