Certifier Subscription

OMRI was founded by organic certifiers and continues to serve certifiers and their clients with crucial information to ensure organic integrity. Organic certifiers are eligible to subscribe to OMRI and receive special services. Subscribers are welcome to contact OMRI technical staff with their materials questions.

Who can subscribe?

Any organization whose primary function is to certify organic food and fiber products may subscribe as an OMRI certifying subscriber. Accredited agencies or those with pending accreditation by the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) will find our consulting and publication services invaluable. For international agencies who are not NOP-accredited, a reduced rate service package will keep you informed of important US developments.

What will you receive?

  • OMRI Products List— the most complete directory of products for use in organic agriculture and food processing
  • OMRI Generic Materials List—an authoritative catalog of over 900 materials and whether they may be used in organic agriculture and food processing
  • OMRI Products List Changes & Updates—information on changes delivered quarterly
  • OMRI Materials Review—a quarterly newsletter packed with the latest organic news, including expert guidance on new standards and materials
  • Bulk discounts on OMRI publications
  • Consulting service for technical assistance on materials and regulations
  • Detailed reports on the National Organic Standards Board
  • Regular email updates on issues of importance to certifiers
  • Advice and guidance on evaluating non-OMRI Listed commercial products
  • Priority access to OMRI staff for events and conferences
  • Discounts on OMRI trainings

How much does it cost?

To address the size diversity among certifying organizations, OMRI has developed a ten-tier system. The number of NOP-certified parties determines the tier for each organization. While offering the same services to all accredited certifiers, this system recognizes the limited resources of smaller organizations with the lower-tier fees and establishes a cap on the fees paid by the largest organizations. All fees are in US dollars and payment must be made in the same.  The subscription year for Certifiers goes from July 1 to June 30.
